We are a team of two data scientists and a product manager. But we're each capable of wearing PM, DS, and SE hats - allowing for fast experimentation, development, and execution. We are subject matter experts in healthcare pricing and revenue cycle, technical experts in data engineering and analytics, and have led successful data products. Combined, we bring expertise in Compressed Schema, Core Rates, Hospital Data, Clear Rates, Network Check, Consumer Data Pipelines, DPR, Spines, Claims Data, First Party Data, Reference Data, SSPs, and more.

Our charter is principally to research and implement feature additions to Clear Rates, so that it can support the data needs of Analyze, Market Solutions, Consumer, and Clear Contracts. We turn high-value ideas from Solutions, Product, and Customer Service into well-researched, well-designed features ready to ship.

Beyond Clear Rates, our versatility and multi-disciplinary skillset allows us to support other critical data products—such as Spines or Reference Data—when they need accelerators.

It's called "sandbox" because we experiment, test hypotheses, and move fast. Unlike a "lab", we don't pursue moonshot ideas, but we do build production-grade features that ship to customers at scale.
